Their archers are mediocre at best, and their only decent cavalry unit are the noble Valkyries, their equivalent of knights. Their strength is in their infantry, again, though theirs seem more survivable than the Empire or the Dshar, and throwing weapons. In the west, to the north of the Dshar, are the Fierdsvain, who are essentially vikings. Their top tier infantry are unmatched at offense, but rather fragile and extremely expensive and difficult to acquire. To the west are the Dshar, former nomads who settled down on the borders of a great desert. Their crossbowmen are the best in Pendor.

It is divided between five major factions: The Empire is in the southeast, loosely based on Rome, and plagued by a murderous religious group known as the Snake Cult. It is bounded by mountains inhabited by the wild Mistmountain Raiders to the north, the enigmatic Noldor to the east, and the sea to the west and south. The location in which the game takes place, strangely enough, is known as Pendor. Prophecy of Pendor is a total conversion mod for Mount and Blade. To start with, for those of you who are unfamiliar with it: I've never done one before, so it may get a bit messy. PoP 3.5 is out, and with that, savegame incompatibility! So, I thought it would be perfect timing to do an LP.
